The position is part of the ERC Starting Grant project led by María Moros and entitled “SIROCCO: Remote control of cellular signalling triggered by magnetic switching”. The project aims to control the activation of intracellular pathways related with cadherins by using magnetic nanoparticles.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Regenerative Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lentivirus engineering/ production/ use, 2D and 3D mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, imaging, and molecular biology techniques. Further desired skills include those related to cadherins, skin biology, mechanobiology.
The candidate will develop genetically modified 2D and 3D in vitro models and will test the possibility to enhance wound repair. Further, he/she will help mentor current BSc, MSc, and PhD students of the group.
