Horizon Europe – Fair and open data sharing in support to European preparedness for Covid-19 and other infections diseases

HORIZON-INFRA-2022-EMERGENCY-01: BY-COVID Suppert for the implementation of national and regional SARS-CoV-s Data Hubs (cascade funding)

This call seeks applications from initiatives to support the implementation of additional SARS-CoV-2 Data Hubs to increase the flow of viral sequence data into the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA), in line with Open Science principles. The existing network of Data Hubs can be accessed here.

This call contributes to the broader ambition of creating a pan-European network for the mobilisation and analysis of pathogen data, including from SARS-CoV-2.

Applicants, individuals or consortia, may support the implementation of Data Hubs through a range of activities such as:

• Training and outreach at national/regional level contributing to support for the implementation of SARS-COV-2 Data Hubs at national and regional levels
• Infrastructure work – especially development of programming interfaces to provide connectivity with Data Hubs
• Curation and standardisation of metadata
• Analysis of locally generated data 
• Surveys and other landscaping studies to understand national/regional needs
• Explorations, studies and showcases that further national or regional open science and open data agendas
