HORIZON EUROPE – MSCA COFUND 2023
Call for proposal MSCA COFUND (HORIZON-MSCA-2023-COFUND-01-01) co-finances new or existing doctoral programmes and postdoctoral fellowship schemes with the aim of spreading the best practices of the MSCA including international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary research training, as well as international and cross-sectoral mobility of researchers at all stages of their career.
In practice, MSCA COFUND provides complementary funding for doctoral or postdoctoral programmes managed by entities established in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. Those co-funded programmes must follow MSCA’s good practice in terms of international recruitment and minimum standard of employment for the recruited fellows as described in the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

FRIEDREICH’S ATAXIA RESEARCH ALLIANCE
FARA supports research through funding competitive grants across the spectrum from basic research through drug development and clinical research programs in Friedreich's Ataxia (FA). We promote collaboration among scientists, advocate for public-private partnerships and host open forums for leading scientists to share their insights and ideas to advance therapeutic development for FA.

FOREUM CAREER RESEARCH GRANTS 2024: A través de esta convocatoria se pretende potenciar la aparición de nuevos líderes de investigación en el campo de la reumatología y las enfermedades musculoesqueléticas. Para ello se financiará el desarrollo, durante tres años, de proyectos de investigación (clínica o básica) innovadores en este campo realizados por jóvenes investigadores/as con un historial científico excelente.

Identificar o validar dianas en combinación con el análisis de biomarcadores que permitan monitorizar el tratamiento y estratificar a los pacientes.
Fomentar la colaboración interdisciplinar entre la investigación preclínica y clínica, multidisciplinar e intersectorial, para potenciar la aplicación de la medicina personalizada.

ISIDORE – CALLS FOR PROPOSALS
RISK GROUP 4 PATHOGENS: Risk Group 4 (RG4) pathogens usually cause serious human or animal disease and can be readily transmitted from one individual to another, directly or indirectly. Effective treatment and preventive measures are not usually available.
The ISIDORe consortium supports scientists with an interest in these pathogens with high individual and community risk.
Researchers are invited to submit any proposal that:
- Can be advanced by access to at least one of our services,
- Falls under one of the following sections (see SCOPE), and
- Is focused on at least one eligible RG4 pathogen (see below and full ISIDORe PPP list).

Objetivo de la iniciativa transnacional ERA NET NEURON:
- Facilitar proyectos de investigación multinacionales y colaborativos que aborden cuestiones clínicas y traslacionales críticas para mejorar nuestro conocimiento sobre el papel de las interacciones recíprocas entre el sistema nervioso central y el cuerpo en la génesis y progresión de enfermedades neurológicas y psiquiátricas.

HORIZON EUROPE – ENHANCING THE EUROPEAN R&I SYSTEM
ERC-2024-POC: The ERC Proof of Concept Grants aim at facilitating exploration of the commercial and social innovation potential of ERC funded research and are therefore available only to Principal Investigators whose proposals draw substantially on their ERC funded research.
The financial contribution will be awarded as a lump sum of EUR 150.000 for a period of 18 months. The ERC expects that normally proof of concept activities should be completed within 12 months. However, to allow for those projects that require more preparation time, the grant agreements will be signed for 18 months. Extensions of the duration of proof of concept projects may be granted only exceptionally.

JOINT PROGRAMMING INITIATIVE ON ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE (JPIAMR)
Convocatoria enmarcada en la Iniciativa de Programación Conjunta sobre Resistencia a los Antimicrobianos (JPIAMR – Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance), que tiene como objetivo coordinar los esfuerzos que se realizan, desde los diferentes países asociados, en el campo de la resistencia antimicrobiana.
La convocatoria será co-financiada por la Comisión Europea y diferentes agencias financiadoras de los países o regiones participantes. En el caso de España, Instituto de Salud Carlos III será el financiador de los grupos españoles participantes en los proyectos.
En concreto convocatoria financiará proyectos de investigación trasnacionales para el desarrollo de estrategias, herramientas, tecnologías y métodos innovadores para el diagnóstico y la vigilancia de la resistencia a los antimicrobianos.
Los proyectos deberán centrarse en uno de los siguientes temas:
1. Desarrollar diagnósticos novedosos, o mejorar los existentes, que puedan descartar el uso de antimicrobianos o ayudar a identificar el tratamiento antimicrobiano más eficaz.
2. Desarrollar o mejorar las estratégicas, tecnologías o métodos existentes, o las estrategias de uso de datos para apoyar la vigilancia de la resistencia a antimicrobianos en One Health.

El proyecto INDUSAC, financiado por Horizon Europe, ofrece apoyo para colaboraciones de investigación cortas (de 4 a 8 semanas) entre estudiantes, investigadores y empresas. Su objetivo es abordar desafíos empresariales a través de equipos de trabajo, destacando la inclusión femenina (al menos un 50%) y la participación de países con menos oportunidades de investigación (un 60%). La convocatoria cuenta con tres fechas límite para enviar Cartas de Motivación. Se sugiere presentar una única carta sólida y detallada para maximizar las posibilidades.

On 06 February 2024 Global Health EDCTP3 will host an online information session (Info day). The event aims to provide potential applicants with information on the Global Health EDCTP3 calls for proposals under Work Programme 2024, as well as information on eligibility criteria and other relevant administrative matters.
The different funding opportunities under the 2024 Work Programme will be presented and this will be followed by a Questions and Answers (Q&A) session with the online audience.The Info day will take place online (on YouTube) from 11:00 - 13:00 Central European Time (CET). Questions will be received via the Q&A and polling platform, Slido. This high-level conference will bring together researchers, policymakers and relevant stakeholders to reflect on the research needs in the field of climate change and human health.
Climate change is a global existential challenge that has introduced unprecedented pressures on the planet which are already translating into significant consequences for human health.
Research and innovation (R&I) are key in delivering evidence and tools to understand, prevent and reduce the health impacts of these rapidly unfolding threats. However, there are numerous knowledge gaps that need to be filled and innovation opportunities that remain untapped.
There is also growing momentum and interest at the global level to increase coordination towards a forward-looking research agenda in climate change and health that will be capable of delivering robust evidence for the necessary adaptation and mitigation actions and policies.
